Today, I am no longer a diehard fan of any celebrity. Yes, I suppose I am still a fan of Shahrukh Khan, but he has no great influence on me. I no longer let female celebrities influence me, for they only provide superficial success, and as I grow I realize that that is not what I am interested in. Instead, I now admire religious celebrities. Ayatollah Khomeini, in my opinion, is a pop icon. Some might argue that he is not even a celebrity, and just famous; but he has been in the media’s eyes several times, for several reasons. He is the one who brought on Iran’s revolution, and he is still remembered greatly after his death. I seek religious and spiritual guidance from the mark he’s left on this earth, and he influences me to be a better person.
